Scholarship
Application
Each
year the Ventura County Medical Association Alliance offers a limited
supply of scholarships to students who have been accepted OR are
currently enrolled in a health career program (eg. MD, BSN, RN,
LVN, NP, PA, Techs, NA, etc.). Students who are doing freshmen
course pre-requisites or pre-medical majors are ineligible.
Application
is open to students of Ventura County, California and scholarships
will be awarded on academic ability and financial need. There shall
be no discrimination based on sex, age religion, or ethnic origin
in making the awards. Scholarship amounts vary yearly and may be
renewed for up to four years.
Applications
must be postmarked no later than June 20, 2003. Failure
to enclose with the application any of the following may cause a
delay in processing as well as non-consideration of the application:
- Copy
of health career accpetance notification
- Copy
of most recent transcript or progress report (for students attending
technical /vocational school)
- Brief
biography
- Recent
photo--any size
- Completed
application form
- Letter
of recommendation from a person who can speak to your character
and motivation in your chosen health career.
